Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of CropWater (the “Service”), provided by [Company legal name] (“CropWater”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service, and you must provide accurate information when registering an account, farm or field.
2. Account Registration & Authentication
You are responsible for the security of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Accounts may be individual or organised under a company with multiple user roles for consultants managing several clients.
3. The Service
CropWater produces irrigation recommendations for irrigated fields and season water budgets with an expected yield for dryland fields, based on soil moisture, weather, forecast and satellite data together with the field configuration you provide. CropWater recommends and schedules irrigation; it does not control, actuate or connect to valves, pumps or any physical irrigation hardware. Recommendations and yield estimates are decision support, not a guarantee of outcome.
4. Farm & Field Data
You own the farm and field data you submit. You grant CropWater a licence to process it solely to provide and improve the Service. We do not sell your farm data.
5. Prohibited Activities
You may not: use the Service unlawfully; attempt to access another user’s or company’s data without authorisation; reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the models or logic behind a recommendation; or interfere with the Service’s normal operation.
6. Intellectual Property
CropWater and its underlying technology, including the methods used to produce a recommendation or yield estimate, are the property of [Company legal name]. These Terms do not grant you any rights to that technology beyond ordinary use of the Service.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party data sources, including weather and satellite imagery providers, and on hardware from soil moisture probe and weather station manufacturers. We are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party data or hardware outside our control.
8. Availability & Changes
We aim to keep the Service available and current but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be added, changed or removed; we will not describe a feature as available before it has shipped.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. An irrigation recommendation or yield estimate is an aid to your own judgement, not a substitute for it.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, [Company legal name] is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss — including crop loss, yield shortfall or water cost — arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service.
